Phone Line Question ?

I have two receivers a 622 & a 301. The 622 is connected to the phone line and the 301 is not and both work fine. I would like to upgrade the 301 to a DVR but have no phone line available. Is there a DVR that will work without a phone line like the 301. Also thinking about discontinuing land line phone and useing cell service only. What will happen to my 622 if it has no phone service? Anyone know if dish is going to drop the $5 no phone charge?

No phone line is required for any receiver.. THere is no $5.00 fee for phone any longer.. Another DVR will cost you $10.00 for a 612 or $17.00 for another 622/722.

the phone line fee was folded into the additional reciver fee...After the first piece of equipment.
Dish gives away nothing.
