so far dish ts can't figure this out. i order a 1080p vod movie. upon confirming order and movie starts, the picture shrinks to about half size and scoots to the upper left of my screen. only when i stop the movie and go back to normal viewing does the full picture resume. this is not a pip issue nor does the "format" button correct this (hitting the format button does change the format but within the now reduced frame). any thoughts?

I vaguely remember others having the same problem when 1080p first came out.
Hopefully some other poster will have a better recollection than I.
But, it has happened before and Dish engineering should be aware of it, seems to have been a compatability problem between the 1080p output and the display's interpretation thereof.
