I have the free HD for life. If I would drop Platinum HD would I keep the free HD or would I need to pay $99.00 or sign up for paperless billing w/auto pay?

That's a question you need to ask of DISH Network.

You keep HD for Life if you already signed up for it. Platinum HD would save you $10 off your bill. It is not included in the promo and does not effect it.

and can u drop down a package-say from 250 to 200 and keep the free hd?

Yes. As long as you don't drop down to lower than top120 you will keep hd for life. Now if you change to DISH America hd packs you will lose your hd for life.
