Please help me understand?

Checked the self serve programming at my dish account for switching to the DishHD pac.

My math is:

• Dish hd with locals $34.99
• Additional receiver fee $5.00
• TOTAL...$39.99

Dish's math is:

• Dish hd with locals $34.99
• HD purchased receiver fee $7.00
• TOTAL...$41.99

Right now my bill is:

• Additional receiver fee $5.00
• AT200 with locals $49.99
• HD Ultimate $20.00
• Taxes $5.25
• TOTAL $80.24

Is Dish gonna start charging me $7.00 because I own my equipment???
Or is this just a fluke???

AFAIK, if your additional receiver is HD, it's a $7/month fee. If you have an SD receiver ($5/month), you need to let them know that.

Like mdonnelly said, it's $7.00 for a ViP receiver whether you own it or lease it.

WOW!!! I just activated a second VIP222 on Saturday. So you are saying that the fee goes up $2.00 because it's an HD unit???

I also deactivated a dp322 the same day.

HD receivers have been $7 a month for a while now. SD receivers are still $5.
