Last fall when I canned my plums I made some pints of sauce. Very much like applesauce but that tangy sweet of plums. Yesterday I was in the baking mood and made plum muffins using a banana bread recipe without the nuts and substituting 3 cups plum sauce for the six bananas. Those turned out very well OMG! I shouldn't have made so many. I'll eat too much.
Last night I noticed the people that just moved in across the street put up a chicken coop and five hens. So I sauntered over and gave them some muffins and some plum butter. An investment in fresh eggs I'm thinking
