Plumbing Tripod for Apartment Install

I've got a tripod set up on concrete blocks and since my patio is slightly sloped :rant:I've got to shim one of the concrete blocks (facing south) to make it plumb.

Currently I'm using those cheap vinyl shims from Home Depot, which work great except they're a little slick and the concrete keeps shifting off of them. I'd like something a little more stable.

I'll post pictures later today of the current install, anyone have ideas? I'm also getting a motor via ups today :up so i'm excited!

try wood shims, you'll find them in the door section of homedepot or any hardware store.

what do you recommend i use to attach the shims to the block?

arent you putting the shim under the concrete block ? the weight of the block will hold it there.

Or try some cedar shakes. The rough surface should keep things from slipping.

How about getting some of those adjustable screw things they put on table (and chair) legs?
