pole mount question

What size pipe do i need to mount a dish 500? I was wanting to use a galvanized steel water pipe.

1 5/8 inch OD pipe, galvanized fence post from lowes or home depot is perfect.

if i am renting a house and the landlord doesnt allow satilights on the roof, i have to have a poll installed. Would they provide the poll or do i need to buy it.

Normally, a post install is not considered a standard installation.

we charge $25 to $35 to install a post in concrete.

If it is a Dish network work order, direct sale from dish or perhaps a sale from a mailer or off the internet, the tech MUST provide the pole and CANNOT charge you for it. The also MAY NOT charge you for labor to install ther pole..EXCEPTION..If the cable burial is in excess of 50ft, the tech will have the authority to collect additional fees..We charge $1.50 per foot over 50 feet....If you used a local retailer, they will most likely charge you for the pole mount....
If the tech attempts to charge you for he pole mount,call dish and let them know..Put the tech on the phone with dish and they will straighten the tech out...
If the tech gives you a hard time, again call dish and let them know..
