POP is the name of the affiliate on channel 117. I think CBS owns it. We watch Big Brother After Dark on it when it is on.

Also the POP channel (117) is our back up for The Young & The Restless and The Bold & The Beautiful SOAPS programs when CBS interrupts them with some hot news.

Turns out I had soda and pop backwards.

Easy for me to do as I'm from the South where it goes like this:

"Wanna Coke?
Sure
What kind?
Sprite"

I grew up in Ohio, where it was "pop." Here in Missouri and Kansas, it's soda. In Ohio, they'd ask "What kind of car do you drive?" Out here, it's "What kind of vehicle do you have?"

that's cause it is being tested by the Dish Uplink Center to see if it's gonna work with Dish equipment, and the only ones able to see it is Dish Uplink Center employees.

i give it a couple of weeks before you should be able to see it

also DirecTV just added PopTV HD last Wednesday too. so now soon, the 2 satellite providers will have PopTV in HD.

It’s 2018. All channels should be in HD. Period.
