possible Albany, NY install

I had DTV and thinking about E*. Will I need 2 dishes on my house for E*?

We're a dealer in the Albany area and you'll need two dishes if you want HD. One dish will do if you want standard definition only. Go to the Dish Network web site and select the dealer locator and you'll see us there. We're just south of Albany.

JSheridan,

If the OP wants HD then only One Dish will be needed, the Eastern Arc Dish, as Dish currently has the Albany Locals In HD on the 61.5 satellites. The rest of the SD core channels are on either 72.7 and 77 degree satellites. If he wants SD and HD and will not accept 2 HD receivers then he will require two Dish's one pointed at 119/110 and one pointed at 61.5. Although Dish does not currently carry the CBS affiliate in HD, but if you want the SD feed of the Albany CBS affiliate you will require two dishes.

You do realize that for most subscribers on the East Coast (especially Albany, NY) a single Eastern Arc Dish is all that is required for HD subscribers, but you must install ALL MPEG4 receivers to Eastern Arc installation.

John,

The Albany SD locals are on 110 and only 4 of the locals are in HD on 61.5, including CBS. The assigned orbital locations to be installed for in OUR area are 110, 119 and 61.5. We occasionally use a 1000.4 Eastern Arc dish when there are LOS problems to 110 and/or 119, but other than that two dishes are required by Dish Network for HD, one Dish500 for SD.

Are you also a dealer/installer in the Albany DMA? If so and you have any more questions feel free to ask.
