I had my Vonage VOIP box working with my 522 last year, but for some reason it stopped and I haven't been able to get it to work with the box again. Anyway, when I thought it was working I ordered PPV, however it never dialed out and has been sitting on my box as pending for several months now. Since I recently moved in with a roomate that has Dish, I'm canceling my service and using one of his boxes so that I only have to pay the additional box fee. My question is, what do I do about the PPV events. I'm not going to be able to hook up a phone line. Should I tell them and when they get the box back they will just bill me?

Remember the good old days with Primestar + Porn + $250 credit limits for PPV. People would get those big bills and then say the reciever ordered the PPV by itself. Those were the best kind of service calls, because you didn't have to do anything!

Take the receiver to a friends house, connect it to a phone line & force a dial out

I don't understand how you avoided the No Phone Line connection fee and popups if the phone line stopped working a couple months ago like you say. My 522 will tell me within a day if I disconnect the phone line.
