I just had dish installed and the only problem i've run across so far is that the remote in one room is controlling the the other 811 receiver which is located in a completely different room. They are nowhere near each other and the rooms are not close to each other. Any way to set these things up to use different frequencies so one remote doesn't control the other receiver and vice versa? I already tried removing the small antenna hookup on the back but then the receiver doesn't respond to remote commands at all.

You need to change the remote address.

Pick one receiver that you want to change the address on.

Turn the other receiver not being changed OFF.

On the receiver you are changing, press SYS INFO.

On the remote hold the SAT buttton untill all mode lights light up, then release

Enter a random number from 2-11
Press #
Press record.

The remote address should change on the receiver

This is a common problem with installs that installers are suppossed to change during the install but they dont. I had the same problem

dp34 loss of 110

Dish wins another must-carry complaint
