This occurs when using Opera 9.64. It is alright using Firefox 3.5.1

I was wrong about this being browser related. After requesting new posts or some sort of a search, the menu item Quick Links -> Mark Forums Read no longer works.

Thanks

nope. I have same issues

can only mark forums read from main page and not after doing a "show new posts" for a specific area (like Dish, Direct, FTA)

Can you give me a details report of what your doing?

I am using Firefox and I go to the navagation bar on top, then click "Quick Links" then select "Mark Forums Read" and it works.

Maybe I am looking at the wrong place.

If I do (In This Order)

1) New Post----> Mark forum read
2) Iget Invalid Link
3) Then I do Quick Links----> Mark Forums read
4) That works Fine

However If I go directly to Quick Links ----> Mark forum read it does not work

That is very odd...

If you look at the links they both go to the same place.

http://www.satelliteguys.us/forumdisplay.php?do=markread

Its the exact same code...

There is no reason why it works sometimes and then dosent work other times.

I am confused.

I go
new posts---->new FTA posts (or Dish or DIrect...same thing)
shows the FTA posts
quick links--->mark forums read

shows "done" in left corner but doesnt clear them

but if I'm on main page or in a topic and do "mark forums read" then it works

I think it has to do with the search for new threads area then marking them read

Please try it out now and report back any issues.

I finally saw it happen myself the links in the navbar would all be changed to search.php?searchid=3243287 stuff which didn't make any sense.

Looks like its a bug in the vbSEO software, so I added the search.php file to the exclude list from processing by vbSEO and that seemed to fix it for me.

That one took like 4 hours to track it down. :)

It works for me. Thanks for the effort.

I didn't get a chance to check this thread. I had gone camping.

Thanks again.
