Hello. I was trying to install my dish yesterday, and ran across some problems. This is the third location I have installed it, so I am decent with installation procedure. I am locating the 110 west dish excellently, with a 122 rating, but am not able to find the 119 dish at all. Do any of you have any tips with that? Oh, here's the weird thing... I am not hitting the 110 dish at the azimuth given on the dish network website. They say to hit at 240', and I am hitting more at the 190-210 mark. Do any of you have any experience to help with this?

Also, I just moved to baltimore, but need to get my cleveland channels. Is there ANY way to do this? I need my Browns games!!

Any help you can give me is appreciated!!

Set your angle and sku per your set up screen and slowly move dish to right. make sure your mast is plumb. hope this helps........

You're probably out of the spotbeam for Cleveland

I smell that you're getting the 110 satellite on the 119 LNBF, which means your dish is 9 degrees off-aim.

Cover the 119 LNBF with tinfoil. If signal disappears, that's it - rotate dish 9 degreees clockwise (west).

Your azimuth is probably off due to magnetic declination - compass reading has to be adjusted for your location. Here's a page with a graphic map of it: http://www.csgnetwork.com/antennasatelazposcalc.html Baltimore is about 11 degrees east, so that explains a chunk of the difference. That and the Dish 500 numbers for Baltimore are azi=230.7 elev=30 and skew=122.6

As for getting the Cleveland locals, they are on 110-2 spotbeam#10 per http://www.dishchannelchart.com/ Baltimore is a bit too far east for that - but it MIGHT work. Spotbeam map is here: http://ekb.dbstalk.com/pictures/echo8.gif
