My mom just switched from D* to E* tonight. She used my E* club account to sign up for the DHA plan.

For her programming she got the AEP and she told me they charged her 82.99 a month for it.

Why does it show the AEP for 77.99 on E* website and then she was told it would be 82.99?

Does your mom get locals? That's the extra $5.

No locals in her area. She said the CSR said that the 82.99 applies to the DHA plan and the 77.99 would be if you bought all the equipment up front.

Is this correct?????????

I think that under DHA locals are included in the price and the customer has no option to subscribe to them or not, even if they are not available.

Well if that is the case then I would have to say that isn't right to cheat someone out of 5.00 for locals when they are not available.

The extra $5 is the lease fee on DHA there is no charge for locals on DHA they are "FREE" but you have to pay to lease the equipment from DISH. This is one of the ways DISH hides the extra costs of the DHA promotion. Under its predessor DHP you had a free service contract now if you want that service contract you have to buy DHPP for $5.99/Mo additional. :) :) :)
