Q&A With Tivo's Jim Denney
Next week Tivo is set to debut its long-awaited Series3 DVR, the company's first stand-alone HD receiver. The box has an extensive list of attributes: Its dual tuner can record 30 hours of high-definition programming (300 hours of standard) via a cable card or from over-the-air signals. Its audio and video are THX-certified for ideal playback quality. Full Story>

I am confused on these points:

TVWeek: What features are proprietary to Tivo at this point?

Mr. Denney: Online scheduling. Generic DVRs have the equivalent of Season Pass, but not Wish Lists, so the ability to set a key word and search for it and record from that is unique to Tivo.

Both features have always been in the ReplayTV software and still exists. What is different about the TiVo version?
