So i just ordered dish from a local dealer, i decided to get the 180 plan plus hd pak, i also ordered the 942 and a 625 dvr. he also told me that since i want voom aswell he can upgrade me to a dish 1000 for $49. my question what would my total charges be per month. he mentioned something about 4.95 per receiver.does this seem right?

You can check the pricing at www.dishtv.com, or better ask your reseller to give you the break-down. It depends on the number of receivers, DVRs, TV sets and how many of them will be connected to DVR.
It will look something like this:

HD Pak (free for 6 months), $9.99 after that.
VOOM Originals Pak $5.00
Extra Receiver Fee (if applies): $5.00
