Question about HD Locals

Hartford, CT recently got their locals in HD except for FOX and CW . . . I am thankful . . . but was wondering if there was any word when these will be available? The competitors have had the locals in HD for about 15 months now and cannot comprehend if it was so easy for them to have every local channel in HD, why Dish cannot get them?

Explore the forum further and find that Fox in CT is owned by News Corp.

News Corp. and Dish are not playing nice together with each other and this is affecting more channels than just yours. Fox from Portland, ME (another just turned on HD DMA) is in the same boat.

And, D* is in a similar situation with LIN owned stations. In the Hartford/New Haven DMA they currently don't carry WTNH-8 HD (ABC)...
