Question about LOS

i am puting up a d1000 dish and i am changing the location.

It looks like in my mew location i am able to get decent signal. 301 on the roof with a small tv.

my question is this can an OTA antenna in LOS cause signal loss.

and how come the skew and elevation is not correct on the d1000 pdf?

i even tripple checked my poll to see it it is level.

and if i have the grounding blockes about 25 to 30 feet away from the dish does it matter?

Should only cause a problem if it is mounted directly in the path of the dish.

I think it is a little below or maybe just at the bottom of LOS

The blocks should be mounted at the point of entry into the house. The distance to the dish is not an issue. You should also ground the dish itself. Here is a resource that might be of interest:
