Question on Dish 500 "I Adaptor"

I ordered a Dish 500 I Adaptor (allows a DP Dual LNB to be mounted centered on a Dish 500 rather than off to the side in a "Y" Adaptor) in preparation for putting up a dedicated 129 dish. The adaptor arrived nicely packed and in a plastic sleeve, however it also arrived in two pieces split down the middle top and bottom.

For those of you who have seen these adaptors (this is the first time I've seen one) is this normal? It looks as though the adaptor will be held together when it is bolted to the dish arm and when the LNB is bolted to the adaptor, and it doesn't really look "broken". However if the adaptor is supposed to be in one piece, I'd like to exchange it.

Doug, I recently got an I-adaptor for my Dish 500. Yes, it consists of a top half and a bottom half. Don't worry; it bolts together nicely with the Dish 500.
