Hello, I have a questions that I'm sure this forum can help me with. Currently I have 2 dishes2 One is a Dish 500 and the other is one added so I could get HD locals. I have 3 rcvrs ( VIP722 VIP622 510D ). I want to swap out the 510D for another 722. I was told when I do this I could go from 2 dishes to 1. Is that true? Also, I was told there is a 722 model that does 1080p quality. Is that true? Thank you.

1080p is only for some PPV.

Yes, one antenna, either a 1000.2 for western arc (110/119/120) or a 1000.4 for the eastern arc (61.5/72.7/77). You are probably in an eastern arc market where all mpeg4 capable receivers are required. Trading the 510 gives you all mpeg4 capable receivers.

"Northern Kentucky" probably isn't specific enough to tell you which dish is appropriate. A zip code is the customary method of indicating one's location, but if you can tell us which DMA, that would work too (ie Lexington, Cincy, Huntington-Charleston).

If I had to guess, I'd say the Dish 1000.2. In contrast, what they are telling you would suggest that you're actually in a Dish 1000.4 market.

According the the eastern arc look up tool , Cinccinnati is eastern arc and you need all mpeg 4 equipment to use it with the 1000.4 sat dish.

612/622/722/722k all do the 1080p VOD movies that Dish offers.
