Questions on putting your account on hold

I was wondering if this is something you can still do now that the equipment is leased instead of owned. I have 4 receivers with 3 of them being wireless minis( I guess they are genies, I can record on all 4). Would I be able to pause the service and then restart service later keeping all 4 receivers? I use to do that back in the day when we owned the equipment but they switched us to leasing in 2011 so I left DTV for awhile.

I don't think being owned or leased has anything to do with suspending your account. I'd call and ask.

It doesn’t. I usually put it on hold once a year while I try another service

iirc its a 6 month max time period. i think they still charge @ $10 a month.
any contract will also pause

That is how I remember it to be as well ...

Yeh it is 6 months max and also only twice a year max.. I think the 10 dollar charge is new.. I never had that in the past

My neighbor suspended his account for 10 months due to a house fire.

No charge while the account was suspended.

Then they took the account out of pause after 6 months and it went into non-pay disconnect.

Loyalty reversed the charges and provided a credit
