Receiver Furnished New Account

It all depends on what the tech has on him when he comes out. We can request certain models, just can not guarantee.

If you own your equipment, you can avoid a commitment, but the monthly charges are the same as leased, so I normally recommend leasing unless you really want to avoid a commitment

What receiver does Dish furnish new acounts, i.e. 622,722? Can you request a particular receiver? Better to lease or own? Earle

Really depends on what your needs are.If you need HD then most likely you would get a 722K.You can request a certain receiver but it might lead to more upfront costs, such as a 922.In my opinion leasing is probably best way to go these days,if you have equipment failure then dish will replace it while under warranty.

Speeedy Gonzalez beat me to the post!:D

Since Dish categorizes its HD DUO DVR's as just that, all receivers that meet that spec are considered the same (even though they are not), so the work order only says to install an HD DUO DVR, not a 722k or a 722 or a 622.
