Receiver quit working after 1 week.

I have a 522 dvr receiver and the hard drive has already failed i had the system for about a week is this common with this receiver?

I do not think it is as common with this receiver like it was with the 50X and 721 receivers.

If you JUST got a 522 receiver installed, chances are it was a remanufactured unit. Dish is trying to unload all of their older 522's in the place of the 625...even if it means shipping out refurbed units.

The 625's had a bogus hard drive failure message when they first came out. It was a software issue. So, are you sure the drive is toast?

They sent me another 522, why would they not send me a 625?
