Who has better recievers, Dish or DircTV? Does DirecTv give you software updates after you have already owned the receivewr for awhile?

Ron

dish setup is better. if u have prewire one cable running to each room, dish can use them and no need to run more cables. on other hand, directv Tivo needs 2 cables. that means they will drill holes, run cables outside of your house. if u want run cable through attic, cross space or wall fished, they will charge u extra for all those.

Just had a woman tell me today that she had Dish Network with dual tuner receivers (two of them for four rooms total). She switched to DirecTv and wish she never had. She is going to have me hook her back up with Dish Network. She does not like all the problems she had with them, the extra wires that were ran for four rooms and the extra outlet fees. She is ridding of DirecTv as soon as her contract is up with them.
