Hello all....
I currently live in Tucson and just had a d* installed in my house, and sadly I am unable to recieve local channels in hd. With that said, I rarely watch the local news and am really only interested in sports(NFL, NCAA) and regular programming like(the office, etc.) so my question is can I in any way get a signal for local channels from say Phoenix which recieves hd locals?? Thanks for the info. I am hoping this will work :D

Do a search for "move", including the quotes. Did you say you have D*? (which around here means DirecTV - E* is Echostar, or Dish Network). If you have an HD receiver from Dish Network (612, 622, 722, or even a 211) you can also connect an antenna for receiving your local broadcast channels over the air.

whoops...didnt even see that i had a d instead of an e...but I do have dish and an hd reciever but sadly in my spot i do not receive local broadcast channels in hd over the air either....so that is why i was hoping for this option....thanks!!
