I believe the limit is tuners, not receivers. And there is one limit for leased (6?), and another for leased plus owned.

Of course, the 16 tuner H3 has shot that away

I remember reading the limit is 4 non- Hopper receivers on 1 account but I had read this
about 10 years ago.

The limit was 6, only 2 could be leased.
At one time I had 9 receiver on my account and if I remember correctly 5 were leased because they replaced my owned 942s with leased 722s.
