Redoing roof in near future. Who’s responsible for DirecTV dish?

Did he not have an AIM meter ?
Usually, they don't need anyone on the inside to point the dish with a meter.
Sounds like it was definitely a contractor (which is fine) .

I made a little rhyme that helps tell the story:

I had to get a new roof
And then my reception went poof
I called the man
He came in a van
I said 'you have no meter'
He said we don't need 'er
Praise god my reception returned
And now this thread is adjourned

Hilarious, and talent.

No new equipment.

Just claims I have a 24 month commitment. As long as the pricing stays low I’m ok with it. The local cable company isn’t any better. Streaming options will
just mature in the next 2 years. It really is the best choice in the area.

There is a 1 month waiting period now to use the protection plan. So even though it was added at $8.99, I would have had to wait a month to claim the service call to reaim the dish. So I still have a $49.00 one time charge for this, line item “dish relocation”. I think that’s fair if I did not renew a contract, but according to my last email I’m in a new 24 month contract, and with no new equipment, to me that shouldn’t be considering I’m paid for the guy to come out and without me watching the signal levels he wouldn’t have been able to do his job.

AT&T really sank DirecTV’s customer service down in the tubes.

I would call back and discuss that issue .... your clearly in the right.
