Reds on FoxSports Ohio in HD

Someone explain this to me. I turn on the Reds on channel 427 Fox Sports Ohio and it is in SD. I look in the guide and the Reds television feed is in HD on an HD alternate channel 444. So I'm watching the game in HD but not on the regular Fox Sports Ohio channel. I don't get it!

Hmmm. . . interesting. Usually the alternate channel would be blacked out.

Is this the Fox Sports Ohio HD channel ? or is 427 the HD channel for FS Ohio ?

there is 427 SD and a 427 HD for Fox Sports Ohio. The game tonight is only on the SD 427. Just saw a commercial on the HD alternate channel 444 and it said it is Fox Sports Indiana.

There were really FOUR separate HD feeds which we in Cincinnati could see two of them were in the nine thousands, I don't know what the numbers were.
But today there NO HD feeds for the REDS at all.
Dish works in wonderful ways it's beauty too show.
