A lot of people often forget what this holiday is really about, so thank you for that video. Everyone seems to focus on having the day off this Monday, but I think it is essential for us to remember those who have died to protect our freedoms here in the US. So if anyone here is a veteran, you have my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for everything you've done. Let's remember the families of those whose loved ones didn't return, as I'm sure this holiday will be tough for them.

I'll be attending Memorial Day commemorations at Quantico National Cemetery tomorrow morning. Please remember to take a moment to honor those who have sacrificed so much to ensure our freedom. :

I'll be at our Avenue of the Flags ceremony here in our home town. The community band plays appropriate music, we usually have a wonderful guest speaker, and oh yes, my father's flag flies on the avenue. He'd be proud. As proud as I am of him.....
