Remote Control code for off-brand tv

Hello-

As you can see by my name I don't know much about how any of this works... so PLEASE take it easy on me! We just recently had dish network installed-and are loving it. The only irky thing is that the installers weren't able to program the dish remote to control the power and volume for the tv in our bedroom so we have to use two remotes. Any chance anyone out there knows what the code would be (or where to find a code) for a superscan tv/dvd/vhs combo tv. My in-laws gave it to us but I believe it came from Sam's Club.

Also, how do I program the dish remote with the code?

Did you try to see if it had a code that would work by doing the remote Power Scan? If that doesn't work, you are pretty much outta luck on using the Dish remote for your TV. I am in that same boat too. I bought a brand new Olevia LCD and Philips DVD player, and the Dish remote won't work on those either.
