Hi all (again) - one more question about a new Hopper. I'm trying to program the DISH remote to operate a Sony sound system I have. I really only need the power and volume functions to work from the DISH remote.
I've gone through the wizard type remote setup having the Hopper try it's lookup codes, but no luck so far. The exact model is not in the list, so I've tried picking similar ones. I even tried the learning mode where you hold the remotes at a 90 degree angle to each other. The lights blink on and off like they're supposed to, but the buttons don't work even after saving and exiting that screen.
The sound system is a Sony DAV-DZ170. I've tried to find some codes online, but no luck so far. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
