I have a new VIP722 and noticed today that when I press the format button on the remote it doesnt change the picture( IE. strecth,zoom,normal,etc). Its on normal on every channel. I know forsure that the SD channels were on strecth this morning, now they are on normal and wont change. The format button DID work before I know. Any ideas?

if this is TV1
then change ur input
ur on RCA cables
try component or HDMI on ur TV

Those function don't work in 4x3 mode. If you have a wide screen TV then you need to set the VIP722 to 16x9 mode. Also make sure its set to 1080i

Menu > 6 > 8

The 722 comes with two remotes. Does the other one work, if so, that button is bad on that remote. Call Dish and have them replace the bad one.

Or, perhaps we need to do a hard reboot of the reciever (unplug, wait, replug).
