I couldn't find this anywhere else but basically the feedarm of my dish was broken by the local hood rats and I was wondering if the Dish Protection Plan covers this or not?

You're probably right about that. But, he said the feed arm was broken. Maybe he can replace that himself....
Thanks for all the replies, y'all are right about the deductible, it's more than just buying a dish and replacing it myself. I'm going to contact dish to see what they can do and go from there. And as far as getting the Sheriff's Dept. involved, unless I saw who damaged it all they're going to do is get mad at me for bothering them, lol.

Since your new here, you most probably don't know what DIRT is unless you've been lurking. DIRT stands for Dish Internet Response Team. They are employees of Dish who monitor the forum. If you go to the very top of the forum, there is a list at the bottom that shows who is on line. Their names are highlited in red. They can get things done that you can't get done by calling a Dish csr. You need a certain number of posts in the open forum before you can send a PM. It might be 3, but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Filing a police report, even if it's just over the phone is important. If it's happened to others it gets it on record. There may be a pattern of vandalism.
should be under the protection plan, I have been able to fix the arm by using salf taping metal screws and drilling them through the the spots where the welds were.
