Hoping someone may have a new solution on my problem, running an old model 2700 receiver dish 500, signal stength strong 100+ on 119, 90+
on 110, problem of pixelation(?) on transponder 13 sat 119. Reset
receiver, tried new cable, only answer I can come up with is in
receiver.?? If LNB was going south it would have problems on various
channels.?

It sounds like you have decent signal levels. I would first check all your connectors just to be sure they're in good shape and snug, no corrosion inside.

Something you can try is going to the phone diagnostic screen then pushing Info, Browse, Theme. That takes you to the memory dump screen and you can either unplug your receiver to reset things or push (I think) info again to reset.

Here you go,

Memory Dump:

* Navigate to the "Diagnostics" page by pushing "Menu-6-3" on your remote
* Push Info, Right Arrow (Browse), Left Arrow (Theme)
* The Memory Dump & Device Status screen appears
* Look at the top line, third field from the left. This is the Watchdog Counter. If number displayed is larger than 0005, your receiver might have a problem. If it's much higher, you probably need to replace the receiver.
* To clear the memory, push the TV/Video or Info button.

Thanks RandallA that was it.!!! Memory dump was .0002 but after clearing
problem gone.

On this old 2700 manual states you can run diagnostic test as follows, front
panel, remote control, dish signal, telephone connection and main unit(receiver) test.
Problem is when I bring up Diagnostic test all I see is telephone connection
test #1 and it will not let be scroll to other test./

Sure appreciate the help I had changed a lot of cables looking for problem.

Technical reason? I don't know exactly what the technical reason is but I look at it this way:

Memory dump is clearing the memory in the receiver, something got corrupted in the receiver and clearing the memory helps with that. When your computer is actig up or locks up, you reset or reboot the computer.
