Resistance 3

Anyone pickup Resistance 3? I'm a big fan of the RFOM 1&2 but I'll pick it up later this week since I don't have time to play it 'till the weekend. I'm sure the single player and coop will be find, but I'm wondering about online plays since I was disappointed with R2.

I generally don't play FPS games, but from what I'm hearing in reviews, this will be something I'll pick up at some point. I like the fact that the SP, which is the part I care about, sounds like it's more personal and story driven than just a series of military campaign set pieces. I never played R1/R2, but I like the developer, Insomniac.

I played the multiplayer beta. It's fantastic. Picked my pre order from BB Tuesday morning. Gonna play the campain, then go into MP. So far it's awesome. Been playing it in 3D. I'm sold on 3D game play.

The 9.99 fee is not for the original owner. There is a code you input to play online. The code is matched to you PSN account. If you give/sell the game to some one else, that person will have to pay the 9.99 fee to get thier code. EA games started this a while back, now Sony, and others, are doing the same.

Thanks! RFOM was a classic. R2 was good single player but it was terrible online. Same thing goes for R3. They basically took the best FPS and turned it into COD...ugh!

R2 was good, but way shorter than R1. I agree about the multiplayer in R2. It sucked. I did play the Coop multiplayer. That was ok. The deathmatch games were nuts. Up to 60 players. I got creamed as soon as I respawned. I am no good at online FPS, but this one is pretty fun so far. I can get a few kills in before I get wacked on this one.

Okay, I played for a few hours tonight and I love the single-player campaign---outstanding!...but I can't stand the online multiplayer. In all fairness, it's better than R2 but pale in comparison to R1. I don't know how they do such as good job on the campaign and such a poor job on the online portion. I'm a killing machine on R1 but I'm a walking target with the other two.
