I have a dumb question. I am running a line from my dish network dish to the receiver. I know that it has to be RG6, but I read on another forum that if the cable has "RG6" and "CATV" on it that it will not work. Is this true? I have two spools, one is RG6 and has "CATVP" (plenum) and the other is RG6 with "CATV" on it. The run is about 100-150 ft.

The CATV is general use RG6 used in the most normal applications. CATVP refers to plenumum, applications. There's also CATVF....Flooded, for underground. They all do the same job.

Dang, you got a roll of plenum. That stuffs expensive. I see your stuff is up and working. Nowadays cable and satellite installers use stuff that's 3 gig rated. But, your stuff is up and working. Enjoy.
