RIP he will be missed. Even without his voice the last few years, his opinions were always well founded.

OMG - he was just blogging that he would be cutting back on his reviews. He must have been in worse shape than he thought.

RIP

I just spotted this on Yahoo! Coming a day after the announcement that his cancer had returned didn't prepare me for this. Roger Ebert was a part of my TV life with my Mom and Dad as we would watch Siskel & Ebert argue about movies on WTTW.

Rest in Peace, Roger, and thank you for the all the great words over the years.

"This movie doesn't scrape the bottom of the barrel. This movie isn't the bottom of the barrel. This movie isn't below the bottom of the barrel. This movie doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with barrels."
