When using a single lnb dish, do you go into the receiver menu to setup the satellite you want to receive (110 - 119)? When I first aligned the system it locked on to 110.

Thanks Tom

Welcome to SatelliteGuys! what I do first is do a switch check without the dish hooked up(clears the matrix) then If I were to use a Dish 300 I would locate the satellite I want to be on (your receiver will tell you) then do another check switch when happy with my satellite selection.

It used to be a "Dish 300" was to be aimed at 119 as it has the majority of the basic channels.
A Dish 500 with 1 LNB is also considered to be a 300 as is a crank up.
