Saw another new innovation today at Samsung. They have a lens for their DSLR that splits the image into two side by side half frame exposures. the Interaxial distance is only 15 mm. But it uses one lens optic. What this does, is allows a photographer to quickly switch to this lens and capture some 3D either stills or video using his regular camera body. The 15mm IA is good enough to get 3D but only out to about 15 feet. It won't work well for large scenery.
