Satellite 118 is gone

(or more accurately, no longer being used by Dish)

Hopper 3 went thru a check switch procedure this morning.

When done I looked and 118 is no longer in the switch matrix.

Interesting that 77, 118, and 129 were removed when those satellites were no longer in use, but 105, 121, and 148 are still in the software.

None of those have been used in years, especially 148 slot. They lost that one a long time ago. Don't think we ever used 105 for DISH though.

105 was subleased to Dish who used it for locals way back when…per look wayback machine in 2005 they had locals on 105

According to the thread - DPH Dish 500? - DISH will be taking satellite 118 out and replacing all International Channels with streaming only. I talked to DISH on Facebook Messenger earlier yesterday and this was what I was told that I am correct and
I will see the website on the screen with a message "This channel has moved. A Dish Hopper receiver connected to the internet is required to ensure uninterrupted viewing. Thanks for this update - my VIP211k's no longer have 118 in the dropdown either.
