satellite HHHH////

I have a dishnet 4900 receiver and I recently moved into a new house. When I was installing my dish at my new place, trying to choose the satellite I wanted to aim for eg:119W the receiver would not let me choose a satellite. The transponder was on 11 and after I tried to choose a satellite instead of 110 or 119 etc. All I could get was HHHH//// where there should have been 110 or 119 or 148 etc. When I tried to reset the receiver, I could not even get HHHH//// or transponder 11. In the transponder box it was showing -610; -528; then it would lock on -27 and -29. It would not let me even try and choose a satellite to aim for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
