SatGuys Chat Room: Problems Getting In Last two Chats

Could not get into the chat room during the last couple of charlie/tech chats. Did the software change or am I missing something? Using IE8, Vista Ultimate and just downloaded Java 6 Update 17 today. Any advice will be appreciated; will try again during tomorrow's Charlie Chat.

Any thoughts? I'll also clean out cache before I sign in tonight. In the past I'd sign in, Java would run but I would just get a blank black box with no chat text.

i just installed java se 6 Update 17 or 18
windows 7 ultimate and ie8 works for me

Make sure you have the latest Java.

The chat is firewall friendly so a firewall should not be blocking it, if you can pull up websites then you should be able to get into the chat.

Try going to SatelliteGuys.US Chat Server and seeing if you can get in.

I couldn't get into the chat before the last one. I completely uninstalled Java, then installed fresh from the Java site. All seems well.
