How do you access the service menu on a scientific atlanta digital cable box? I want to see the signal level from the tap.

Hold the center select button ("diamond") on the front of the unit until the mail light comes on, release it and then press the "info" button. Use the VOL +/- keys to scroll thru. Press "exit" when done.

Gooday all i own a scientific alanta 8610 .when i change channels all i get is a red blank screen. I was wondering if i have to configure the box if so can anyone explan this process my email is bad1672@yahoo.com thanks
