SD channels on the 622?

I thought the 622 displayed the SD channels in 480p. I don't have the receiver activated yet but I can view channel 101. And when I'm on there my tv says it's in 1080i. I would think that if the channel was displaying in 480p it would tell me on the tv. Does anyone know what the sd channels are displayed in?

If it's like the 942, it's whatever you set it to. I suspect 1080i is the default. Thus i think this means the receiver is upconverting the signal. It's 8, 6 system setup hdtv setup

Oh ok I thought I read somewhere that the sd channels were in 480p and the hd channels were in what you selected either 720p or 1080i. But if it upconverts it to 1080i that's sweet.

oh also there were some threads discussing the pro's and cons of setting it to 720 or 1080 but im not sure what the end result was.
