SD picture quality?

I have just started getting our missing CBS station WTVY in SD and I gotta tell ya the picture is really terrible even when compared to other SD channels.

I have a 722k and a SONY 52" HD LCD tv and was wondering if there is anything I can do to try and improve the picture quality or is this just something I am going to have to live with until sometime in the future when DISH might offer this station in HD?

The SD picture quality overall is terrible on these new HD tv's LCD, Plasma when compared to the old CRT tv's...... just no comparison in picture quality.

Dish supplies what they get so it is more a problem with your local channel. When Dish supplied distant networks, my actual locals were the worst and looked bad on an sd set yet. Once you get HD for all your channels, you will not be disappointed.
