Security cards

Has everyone received their security cards or is this old news? I just put mine in yesterday. Is this just for security or future stuff down the road?

The purple cards are a security upgrade from the compromised yellow cards.

I didn't have any cards in mine when I received them. So if I take it out the receiver won't work?

the cards were built into some boxes...so when you put the new card in and activate it thats the card that needs to be in it for the box to work

We have a few 'smart card' threads - you can find all detail of the card data and procedures and why it need to be done and my receiver doesn't have a card, etc, etc.
