Should I change receivers?

Although the 522 started out strong for me it has been a miserable failure for a while. Last night, I program "death in Gaza, Bullsh!t, and Pulse" to record. This morning when I go to check them out they are all labeled correctly but they recorded the wrong thing. Death in Gaza recorded part of last comic standing and er, Pulse recorded my local fox news, and Bullsh!t recorded espn. This is a true story. Should I just get another receiver that has less problems and be done with it? Every software upgrade seems to make something else worse.

If you think I should go with another receiver can I please get some suggestions?

I know that something like this has happened to me, but not lately.

I found that it was because I was in a different 'favorites list' when it happened.

I don't know if E* ever fixed this bug, but if you have a timer set to fire on a certain station and you switch to a favorites list that doesn't include that station, it will record the 'nearest' one.

I have a list with just Sirius and if I forget to switch it back to All or Sub or my personal list, I get recordings of music content.

If that isn't the case, try a powerbutton reset. Hold it for 4-6 seconds and let it reload the guide data. Might have somehow got out of whack.

If that doesn't help, it may be time to call E* and have the 522 RMA'd..
