Showtime Picks Up 'Nurse Jackie' For 4th Season, Cancels 'United States Of Tara'

Showtime has renewed dark comedy series Nurse Jackie for a fourth season. Meanwhile, it's the end of the road for fellow comedy United States of Tara, which is being canceled after three seasons.

Bit of a shame. I have had some experiences with what is now called dissociative personality disorder and felt that the first season and a half did a pretty good job with it. However, it took a bad turn in the middle of last season and I won't really be sorry to see it go.

I never warmed to Jackie though.
