Obama Can Shut Down Internet For 4 Months Under New Emergency Powers

I just finished reading "Cyber War" by Richard Clarke and, according to him, the US is ripe and easy pickens for a devestating cyber attack. If this is an attempt to correct this, then I don't have a problem with it.

Government should keep its hands off the public Internet and focus on getting its own systems fully protected. Then a cyber attack doesn't affect them, and resources are available to pick up the pieces, without sacrificing freedom.
