at my house i have a dish 500 with a DP+ Twin, and a wing dish (using a 500 w/ no skew, i guess it could be called a 300) pointed a 129.

my question is, what if i used a 1000.2 with no skew, pointed directly a 129 with a dp dual and that stupid 'w' bracket. theoretically, should i get better signal?

Once, I took my 121 SuperDish and skewed it to 90 degrees and pointed it at 129 using the LNB normally used for 119. Most of the transponders were high 90's or low 100's (old scale) and I'm in Florida which is supposedly out of the 129 'footprint'.

Why would one want to point at the 129 ,when they can use the 61.5. A much stronger satellite for the East coast. We tried the 129 Here in Wayne County PA and got at best a 30 signal. I know of some who got into the 60's Old scale as well.
